CRO: Adding Research Outputs, Impact, Engagement and Scholarly Activities

A guide to using the different forms in CRO / Pure to enter Impact, Engagement, Scholarly Activities, Awards, Press and Media, as well as the more traditional Research Outputs.

Guidelines and policies for Open Access and CRO Submissions

Before you submit your works to CRO you could consult the following Policies:

  • Australian Research Council (ARC) Open Access Policy
    • "...The Australian Government makes a major investment in research to support its essential role in improving the wellbeing of our society to maximise the benefits from research, publications resulting from research activities must be disseminated as broadly as possible to allow access by other researchers and the wider community..."

Intellectual property and copyright

To understand open access (OA) and ensure publisher agreements allow your research outputs to be OA in CRO, you need to be familiar with the basics of intellectual property (IP) and copyright:  See

  • The Charles Sturt University Intellectual Property Policy
    • "...Set[s] out the principles and practices of Charles Sturt University relating to ownership, management and development of intellectual property created by staff and students of, and visitors to, Charles Sturt University...)

  • The Copyright for research website in particular:
    • Using others works in your thesis and publications
    • Managing your own copyright
    • Copyright for HDR students
