Using Leganto for Staff: Getting started

About Leganto

Leganto simplifies the creation, management, and evaluation of reading and resource lists for your subjects.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to build a reading list that can be used by all cohorts, session to session.
  • Curate subject resources with custom arrangements, such as weekly or by topic.
  • Link to diverse resources: books, articles, digitised chapters, open access materials and web resources.
  • Request digitisation of book chapters directly from your list.
  • Submit purchase requests for new resources directly from your list.
  • Enhance student engagement with features such as section descriptions, public notes and timed material release.

While academic staff are responsible for updating and maintaining their readings and resources lists, Leganto is a library-managed system, meaning our staff are here to support you.

Access your list

Starting from your subject in Brightspace:

  • open the Resources dropdown menu
  • select Readings & Resources (Leganto), or

Enter the Leganto site directly and search for your list by subject code.

Before creating a new list, always check for an existing list for your subject.

If you are unable to locate your Readings & Resources list, need to create a list from scratch or have any questions, please contact your Library Faculty Team.
