Using Leganto for Staff: Add and edit sections

Options for sections

Sections are used to group items together in your Readings & Resources (Leganto) list.

Our most commonly-used template includes the following sections:

  • Prescribed text
  • eBook etiquette
  • Highly recommended texts
  • Topics 1-12.

However, you should edit the sections in your list to suit the structure of your subject delivery.

  1. In your list, select the Add button then New section
  2. Add section title and description as required
  3. Use the optional start and end dates to show the section to students during these dates
  4. Choosing the position of the section from the Add section menu, e.g. add as the last section in the list
  5. Click the Add button to close the window.

Select Manage sections at the top of the list:

  • Hover over and select the Drag icon to drag the section, OR
  • Check the box next to the section title to open section options which include move arrows.

Use the ellipses next to the section title to access edit section options:

  1. Rename the section title
  2. Add a section description
  3. Add start and end dates to control student access to list content
  4. Save your changes.

Use the ellipses next to the section title to access copy section options:

  • copy the section within the current list
  • copy the section to another list.

Use the ellipses next to the section title to access export section options.

Choose from the options for exporting a section:

  • Format: PDF, Word. Excel. RIS, EndNote
  • Bibliographic style (available for Word exports only)
  • Fields for inclusion (format-dependent), such as notes, tags and links.

Use the ellipsis next to the section title to access the delete section option.

Note: this cannot be undone.
