MID441 Research Skills Guide: Referencing

Referencing at Charles Sturt University

The Referencing at Charles Sturt University webpage has lots of helpful information about referencing.

It's handy to download (and even print out) the APA referencing summary, so you always have it on hand. Use the ART tool for quick checking, and the APA website and blog for tricky questions. You can also make an appointment with an Academic Skills Advisor, or attend a workshop.

EndNote for managing your references

EndNote is a bibliographic management software which you can download freely from CSU. At this stage of your studies, it would be very useful to:

  • record and manage the details of journal articles and books you have found in your research;
  • store and manage PDF copies of articles you have downloaded;
  • annotate and add notes to PDFs;
  • insert in-text citations and reference-list entries into essays.

Go to the EndNote Library Resource Guide for more information about how to download and use EndNote.

Ask your Librarian about attending an online training session about EndNote!
