Visible Body

Visible Body is a collection of five online programs covering anatomy and physiology through interactive 3D models, animations, and images. Four of the modules include interactive quizzes:

  • Heart and Circulatory Premium: Quizzes on Systemic Arteries, Systemic Veins, Heart and Pulmonary Circulation.
     
  • Human Anatomy Atlas: Quizzes specifically relevant to learning anatomy.
     
  • Muscle Premium: Quizzes on Head and Neck, Shoulder, Upper Limbs, Abdomen, Spine and Back, Pelvis and Lower Limbs.
     
  • Skeletal Premium: Quizzes on the Skull, Axial Skeleton and Appendicular Skeleton.

Access Medicine

AccessMedicine is a collection of eBooks and interactive resources related to study and clinical practice in science and medicine.

To access the study tools, you will need to create an free MyAccess Profile:

  1. Click on Sign in (next to Charles Sturt University) in the top right-hand corner of any page
  2. Cick on Sign in or Create a Free MyAccess Profile
  3. In the pop-up window, click on the Create a Free MyAccess Profile
  4. Complete the registration form and select Create Profile.

Anatomy TV

Anatomy TV is an interactive multimedia resource with 3D images and interactive models.

It includes a Quizzing module with a 3D anatomy quiz featuring What is? and Where is? quiz questions

It also includes a Learning and Assessment module called PALMS (Perceptual and Adaptive Learning Modules) - see below for more information.

Anatomy TV PALMs

PALMs (Perceptual and Adaptive Learning Modules) is a learning and teaching system that can be used within Anatomy.TV.

To access PALMs, open Anatomy.TV and select the Learning and Assessment (PALMs) link from the left hand menu. Select Log in/register. The first time you use PALMs you will need to register with an email address and password; otherwise select Log in to continue.

Subject Coordinators with an Instructor account in PALMs can set up a "class", enrol students, and monitor student progress. To register as an instructor, please contact a member of the Library's Faculty Teams.

Students can register as a guest in PALMs, with an email address and password (as noted above). Students can then join a "class" within PALMs, using a code supplied by the Subject Coordinator/Instructor.
