Journal articles tend to report on highly specific and narrow aspects of research, while books - particularly textbooks - tend to be broader and more comprehensive in scope.
So searching in books is sometimes more useful. In nursing, for example, if your topic is around anatomy or physiology, or a fundamental aspect of nursing care, you might benefit from searching in an eBook collection.
Increasingly, Charles Sturt Library provides books and textbooks as eBooks, and while there are sometimes limits on use, and special requirements for access, eBook collections can be usually be browsed and searched in a similar way to databases.
