Law: Law reform

What do Law Reform Commissions do?

Law reform bodies were established for the Australian States and the Commonwealth by The Australian Law Reform Commission Act 1996 (Cth).  Law reform ensures that the law keeps up with current social conditions, that it is free from defects and remains as simple and effective as possible.

Commissions may publish discussion papers, journals and reports.
