Research Data Management at Charles Sturt: Plan and Design

Plan your data management

Planning is the first step in managing your research data.

You'll map out the processes and resources required for your data throughout your entire project, then complete a Data Management Plan (DMP), which will incorporate many of these points.

A Data Management Plan documents how your data will be managed throughout your research project and after completion.

Charles Sturt's RDM Policy states that researchers have a responsibility to develop a DMP in accordance with the Research Data Management Guidelines.

Top tip: Use the information in this guide to help you complete your DMP.

A DMP helps you manage, store & share your data during & after your research project.

It will save you time and effort.
