PHM101 Research Skills Guide: Referencing

Referencing at Charles Sturt University

Charles Sturt's Referencing webpage has lots of information on referencing.

The main referencing style used at Charles Sturt University is APA 7th.

For help with using APA 7th, you can use:

What is referencing?

Referencing MIMS Online and Australian Medicines Handbook

For an example/instructions for an entry from MIMS Online, see p. 5 of Charles Sturt's APA 7th Referencing Summary, under the heading of Reference in a dictionary, encyclopedia, or thesaurus with a group author.

For an example/instructions for an entry in the Australian Medicines Handbook, see the Academic Referencing Tool (ART), at APA 7 > Other Sources > Drug information (Online).

You should use those as a guide:

  • Use the corporate author (group author) as the entry point
  • Use "n.d." as the year of publication and include a retrieval date
  • Use the full URL of the page/article (copied from the browser address bar) as the retrieval information.
