There are many different places where you can find Open Educational Resources. Below you’ll find lists of suggested platforms and collections organised by type and discipline.

Searching across these platforms may return many of the same resources, but each one is likely to have unique items as well.

Tips for searching

• Start with a broad search, then use filters to narrow down by subject area and material type.
• Always check the licensing conditions
• Keep a list of relevant resources and links to where you found them.
• Evaluate the OER before deciding to adopt or adapt it.

Or browse our dedicated collection of OER, or follow these steps when searching Primo to find OER.

One place to start is with our own Primo Search.

• Search using your keywords.
• Then on the results screen, select the “open access” filter in the left-hand column,
• Select to filter to your preferred resource type e.g., “books”

Note: This will locate resources that are Open Access. Remember to check the licence to confirm how you can use or reuse the resource.
