Yalbilinya Ngurang: Resources

An introduction to Wiradjuri Language at Charles Sturt

Language, Cultures & Histories

Information which speaks reliably across the languages, cultures, and histories of all Indigenous Australians can be difficult to find. This can be because of the large number of Aboriginal Australian nations which each have their own languages, cultures, and histories. You can see a map depicting the Australian First Languages here.

It may be worth also looking at information on specific Aboriginal Australian nations. Below is a sample of  information available on three nations, Wiradjuri, Yolngu and Biripai.

NAIDOC Week is an opportunity for Charles Sturt university to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff, students and community members. To find out more go to the NAIDOC Week events page and watch this short video "An introduction to Wiradjuri language at Charles Sturt University"
