PHC200 Research Skills Guide: Google Scholar

Using Google Scholar

Google Scholar allows you to locate resources such as articles, theses and books.

Unlike Primo Search, which is set to search the Library's holdings only, Google Scholar searches beyond Charles Sturt University Library and will include resources that may not be available to you.

Tip: Set your Google Scholar Library Links to access information resources that are available through the Charles Sturt University Library using these instructions, or watch the adjacent Using Google Scholar video.

Activity

In the adjacent Google Scholar Search box, enter some keywords that you identified in your topic analysis, or try searching for: "social determinants" health Australia

  • Use the left hand menu to limit by date.
  • Have you set your library links to show Charles Sturt Library holdings? Select the Find it at CSU links to access articles in our collection.
  • You may notice that there is a mix of topics, including health, education etc. Add more keywords to your search to narrow it down.
