EEP400 Research Skills Guide: Home

Introduction

Welcome to the EEP400 Research Skills Guide.

This guide is intended to make the research process easier for Assessment 1 which requires you to complete a short essay and design a diagram. You can apply these same skills to most Assessments.

This guide is intended to help you with this assessment by focusing on:

  • using databases
  • locating scholarly information
  • evaluating information

If you would like a refresher about other library skills, such as sources of information, using Primo and Google Scholar, evaluating information, and more, head over to the EEP417 Research Skills Guide.

There are 5 activities included throughout this guide, use these to practice the skills you have learned:

Here is the EEP400 class recording to give you an overview of the library services and how to search for information.

I strongly recommend you watch the recording as it discusses services and resources the library offers to support students with research for their assessments.

Most important of all, use your librarians! If you need help with anything the library or research-related, please contact the library.

Good luck with your studies!
