Improvements to our spaces

We did a lot of work on our facilities after the last Library Client Survey, and you loved it. There were lots of comments about the refurbishments at Wagga, Bathurst, and Dubbo, and great feedback about the 24 hour spaces at Dubbo and Orange.

You did identify some areas for improvement:

  • More quiet study areas
  • More group study areas
  • Finding books in the collection
  • Wireless connectivity not always working
  • Low lighting in Albury-Wodonga Learning Commons
  • Coffee making facilities needed in 24/7 spaces
  • Better access to staff.

We’ve already done some further work based on the 2017 feedback

  • Added even more powered desks in the Bathurst Library
  • Moved staff into the Library space in Port Macquarie, and closer to the Library space in Dubbo
  • Division of Facilities Management have changed the lighting at Albury-Wodonga Learning Commons
  • Division of Information Technology have improved wireless connectivity at all campuses and made it easier to report blackspots, and added more computers for student use at Port Macquarie
  • Improved signage at Orange and Dubbo
  • Added more group study spaces and powered desks at Orange, as well as redeveloped work spaces to make Library staff more visible.

We'll keep looking for ways to improve your experience in the CSU campus libraries.
