Is the Study Centre and/ or Library open?
No, the Study Centre, including the Library is closed.
Plans to re-open the campus are being considered taking into account risk assessments. An announcement will be made in due time.
Can I borrow books?
No, it is not possible to borrow physical books from the Study Centre Library Brisbane at this time.
It is recommended to use the eBook from Charles Sturt University Library. You can also access the eBook from the textbook booklist found in Textbooks & Library Catalogue, and on Brisbane's Library iLearn page.

What about the books I have borrowed before the shutdown?
Students who are continuing their studies from semester 1, 2020 and who have books from the Library have been granted an extension on their Library book loans. No overdue Library fines for existing items on loan will be incurred during the closure period.
Please do NOT write, underline, highlight, damage or lose them. You will need to return them when the Study Centre reopens. Fines will apply for damaged or lost books up to $180 for each book.
What do I do with the Library books, if I have completed my studies?
Instructions on returning your books and paying any fines will be sent by email near the end of the semester.
Failure to return your books will result in withholding your graduation. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact us by phone, email or Zoom.
How to I pay my Library fines?
Instructions to pay your Library fines will be sent by email. Contact the Library by phone, email or Zoom. We will check if you have any fines and send you the instructions.
Note that the Library, along with the Study Centre, is currently closed as a precautionary measure against Covid-19. More information can be found here.
The Library is located on level 4 in the Brisbane Study Centre and may be accessed between 8.30am and 5.00pm on business days.
Students must have their ID cards with them in order to access the Library. The security door will not be opened from the inside by staff.
If the desk is unattended, please leave any returns in the returns box. Do not leave returns on the counter.
Study Centre Brisbane Library have computers available for accessing resources, conducting assessments and printing. The computers consist of 15 PCs and 5 Macs. Please note that the Macs do not have printing capability.
Login with your Student ID number as the Username and your Password.
AT THE START OF EVERY SEMESTER
Your computer password will need to be reset for the start of every new semester:

You will then be prompted to set a new password

The Study Centre Brisbane Library has a photocopier/printer/scanner available in black and white only.
A4 paper B/W: 10c per copy
A3 paper B/W: 40c per copy
Students receive $16 per month in their printing/ photocopying account. This balance is automatically recharged to its full amount on the 1st day of each month. This balance does not accrue or carry over.
If you run out of credit within the month, you can recharge for $5 or more from Student Services.
You can connect to the campus WiFi network using your Study Centre credentials.
