NRS223 Research Skills Guide: Home

INTRODUCTION

Welcome to the NRS223 Research Skills Guide.

This guide is designed to help you with Assessment Item 1 in NRS223, which requires you to analyse a case study.

It focuses on:

  • locating scholarly information
  • databases and searching in databases
  • using CINAHL Plus with Full Text as an important nursing database
  • evaluating information.

Many of you will have already studied, or might be concurrently studying, NRS221. This guide builds on and complements the NRS221 Research Skills Guide, and also the NRS111 Research Skills Guide, which cover similar material. You are welcome to revisit these guides, as linked here. Note that some content is duplicated in these guides, so that they can be used independently.

If you need extra assistance with anything library- or research-related, please contact me or the Library as in the boxes at right.

Wishing you the best for the study ahead -
