NRS223 Research Skills Guide: Home

INTRODUCTION

Welcome to the NRS223 Research Skills Guide.

This guide is designed to make your research process easier for Assessment 1 which requires you to analyse a case study.

The guide is intended to help you with this assessment by focusing on:

  • locating scholarly information
  • using search techniques in Library databases
  • using CINAHL Plus with Full Text, an important nursing database
  • evaluating information

This guide builds on and complements the NRS221 and NRS160 Research Skills Guides, which cover similar material. You can revisit those guides at any time for a refresher on your Library skills. Some content is duplicated across the guides, this is so they can be used independently.

Most important of all, use your librarians! If you need help with anything library or research related, get in touch with the library.

Wishing you the best for the study ahead.
