An Ovid database of psychological tests, measures, scales, surveys and other assessments, including (in most cases) the tests themselves and other descriptive information.
The database includes published tests, and unpublished tests that researchers have developed but not made commercially available.
Content includes scales for beliefs, relationships or expectancies; racial and ethnic identity scales; resilience, anger, or substance abuse inventories; physical health related assessments; aggression, coping, or functional status questionnaires, personality assessments; military tests; neuropsychological assessments; and intelligence tests.
There are two types of records:
* "Test master" records which summarise the test and describe purpose and design
* Other records which cover development, review, or use of a test, and provide extra details, sourced from peer-reviewed literature, technical reports, or dissertations.
So it's possible that a particular test will have more than one record.
A permissions field alerts you to tests you can use without formal permission. This is the case with most tests. Other options include contacting the author and/or the publisher.
This is one of many databases available in the Ovid platform. Once in the Ovid interface, you can change to another database by clicking on the
Change link in the main search panel. All Ovid databases can be searched individually or in any combination. Other psychology databases in Ovid include
PsycINFO and
PsycARTICLES Full Text , while
Mental Measurements Yearbook is another Ovid database with information on testing instruments.
