A guide on how to incorporate various types of library resources into your Interact 2 sites. Includes step-by-step information on how to link and embed things like database articles, ereserve readings and videos.
Option 1: Using the YouTube link and embedding it within an iFrame (as demonstrated in the Open Access demonstration site):
Step 1: Locate the video you want to use from YouTube
Step 2: Click on the 'Share' link located beneath the video:
Step 3: Make sure that you are in the 'Share' tab and copy the URL from the window below (note: do not copy the iframe link under the embed tab as Interact will not recognise it as a URL):
Step 4: Click on the 'Insert/Edit Embedded Media' button in the content editor toolbar:
Step 5: Set the 'Type' of file to iframe, paste the copied url into the 'File/URL' box and set the dimensions so that the size of the video is appropriate (make sure that the 'Constrain Proportions' button is ticked otherwise the length and/or width can become distorted).
Option 2: Using the Mashups tool:
Step 1: Click on the Mashups tool in the I2 toolbar:
Step 2: Select the YouTube video option:
Step 3: Search for your video on YouTube using title keywords and clicking on the 'Go' button:
Step 4: Select the video you want from the list of results by clicking on the 'Select' button:
