NRS212 Research Skills Guide: Home

INTRODUCTION

Welcome to the NRS212 Research Skills Guide.

This guide was made for you by Charles Sturt University Librarians. It is designed to make your research process easier and, in particular, help you with your reflective learning assessments in this subject.

This guide covers:

  • developing a search strategy
  • using Primo Search and journal databases
  • evaluating your results for suitability
  • finding resources to help you write reflectively

You can use this guide any way you like; read it front to back or dip in and out as required. Keep in mind that research is not a linear process and may not always follow a particular order of steps. Also, you can refer back to the guide for NRS111 if you want a refresher on researching basics.

Most important of all, use your librarians! If you need help with anything library or research related, get in touch with the Library.

Wishing you the best for the study ahead,

Siobhonn
