GER401 Research Skills Guide: Home

INTRODUCTION

Welcome to the GER401 Research Skills Guide.

This guide was made for you by Charles Sturt University Librarians. It is designed to make the research process easier for your major assignments.

There is a lot of information about academic research skills in this guide. You can transfer these skills to any other assessment task that requires you to search for information, so take note of what we do and think about how you could apply it to an assessment task for a different subject. Also, the Library can help you freshen up basic research skills, including topic analysis, sources of information, and evaluating information.

We have resource guides about:

Most important of all, use your Librarians! If you need help with anything library-related, please get in touch. You aren't expected to know everything about research and the Library can help point you in the right direction.

Best wishes for the study ahead,

Kate
