ACC384 Research Skills Guide: Introduction

INTRODUCTION

Welcome to the ACC384 Research Skills Guide.

This guide was made for you by a Librarian from Charles Sturt University Library. It is designed to make your research process easier.

We will cover the best way to:

  • Plan your search strategy and find keywords for your assessment topic, focusing on assessment item 2
  • Find scholarly information using Primo Search and journal databases including how to find specific Company information (there is a demonstration here)
  • Evaluate information that you have found
  • Write your report using the information that you have found

Remember that research may not always follow a particular order of steps. Dip in and out of this guide, as you need to, throughout your studies.

Here is a brief video on using eBooks and Library Databases.

If you need help with anything library or research related, contact the library.

Wishing you well for the study ahead.
